If you’re looking for a slower, more intentional way to travel and live,
welcome to Truly Sherry.
I created this space for those who seek a more grounded way to travel and in turn lead a simpler life. It’s a place I share my stories from a life of unhurried journeys, starting a new chapter after 70 and doing it with intention. Whether you want to travel slower, live a bit more simple or curious about aging, retirement, and reinvention, I hope you find some answers, inspiration and encouragement here.

Hi, I’m Sherry!
A TRAVEL WRITER AND slow TRAVELER.
I’m so happy you’re here. I’ve spent decades perfecting the art of slow travel with non-flying journeys on oceans, rivers, and rails.
I created Truly Sherry to share my practical travel tips, comfort-food stories and recipes, reflections on life after 70 and personal adventures to inspire you to explore the world at a relaxed, meaningful pace.
Recently, I’m now a part-time vanlifer along with my trusty little dogs, Poppy and Chip. Together we’re exploring the USA and Canada.
Thanks for stopping by to read my stories.
